About DVS
Digital Viking Studios began in 2016 as Phil Reese’s professional home studio in Concord, MA. It was a massive construction project which involved floating a room within a room, completely isolated from the outside world.
Built over five years this was where Phil really got to dig deep into acoustic design and all the challenges that come with building a professional studio.
During this time Phil wrote and played a lot of original music, tested beta products for Sonos, began building a massive collection of studio equipment, engineered sessions for clients such as Cartoon Network and Netflix, and stayed in touch with Matt and Brandon.
In 2022, Matt and Phil hatched a plan 20 years in the making. Phil, Brandon, and Digital Viking Studios moved to East Providence, RI into the same building as the RI Philharmonic, and Phil starting working with music full time.
